Pretty soon, we’ll be saying goodbye to the month of May, which means you could be missing the opportunity to catch the dolphin! The odds are greater of finding the dolphin during May without having to explore too far offshore.
In case you happened to be a bit confused, the dolphin we’re talking about is the fish instead of the well-known mammal. These fish are a popular choice with anglers and they do not disappoint when you’re trying to catch them thanks to their air acrobatics and tendency to fight hard. You won’t have much trouble spotting them thanks to their vivid green, blue, and yellow color.
The dolphin is always up for catching, but summer is typically when the fish is most active. While there is no official dolphin season, you should remember that a daily bag limit of ten fish per person or sixty per boat does exist. The dolphin has to be a minimum of twenty inches from the tip of its mouth to the fork of its tail when measured.
