Spring catch / New Boat
Report Date: April 27, 2009
It's been quite some time since I've updated a fishing report and there's been a few changes. I bought a new boat (well an old boat, but new to me). A 40' sportfisherman that was built in 1985 and was a very successful charterboat in the keys for many years.Formally called the " How bout it". It is now the "Free Spool too". We've been fishing almost everyday since it came to the dock on March 20th. The catches have been excellent. As we slip into the spring and early summer months, we get into some of the best fishing in South Florida. Blackfin tunas, big kingfish and plenty of dolphin and sailfish. We've had kingfish up to 35 pounds and dolphin in the 30's. The tunas are just starting to show up and I expect to see more of them through May. Come and fish the new boat. It is a fishing machine
